KAMI

KAMI, a Chicago rapper and founding member of Chance the Rapper’s SaveMoney collective has signed an exclusive worldwide co-publishing agreement with Angry Mob Music. An accomplished solo artist, KAMI’s style blends elements of boundary-pushing, experimental rap and hip-hop with synth-driven new wave and pop vocals. Since his debut mixtape, Light, was released in 2012, KAMI has been featured in publications such as Noisey, Pitchfork, XXL, Hypebeast, and Vibe Magazine. The track “Reboot” off his Very Slight EP featuring Chance the Rapper and Joey Purp has over 4 million streams.

“We are extremely proud KAMI has chosen Angry Mob Music as his publishing partner,” said Marc Caruso, founder of Angry Mob. “KAMI is a truly versatile artist who dares to take creative chances in his music, and is already shaping hip-hop culture. We look forward to what is shaping up to be an exciting next phase of his career.”

“In addition to his unique voice in his songwriting + performance, KAMI brings an intense work ethic to the craft and embodies the true spirit of the independent musician. We’re really proud to be joining KAMI and his management during this very exciting time in his career,” said Angry Mob A&R Director Ralph Torrefranca.

“Being an independent artist right now it’s important to have people around you that can dedicate time to helping you find success and develop your growth,” said KAMI. “I’ve already seen that coming from Angry Mob, and I’m excited to continue working with them.”
