Angry Mob’s A&R team, lead by Sr. Director of A&R, Ralph Torrefranca, held a week long songwriting camp which included a slew of writers, producers, and artists. The New Normal camp focused on adding more diversity into the creative process by recruiting predominately underrepresented artists, producers and songwriters throughout the music industry. The camp was a huge success and there was a massive amount of music that came from it. The creatives worked from a rotating list of studios but primarily at Angry Mob’s own music studio at The Williamson in North Hollywood. The New Normal Writing Camp took place over five days (June 26-30) in Los Angeles and featured 30+ talented artists/writers/producers from 10+ different cultural backgrounds. In addition, out of those in attendance, 50% of them were women producers and 70% were female writers/artists.

Angry Mob’s songwriters/producers included: Joe Pepe (Iann Dior, Sam Short), Verskotzi (Prinze George, Sam Drysdale), and Bus (Ty Dolla $ign, Brent Faiyaz); as well as some of our artists/writers such as Bailey Bryan and LeyeT. Other outside artists who attended included UMI (RCA), YDE (Warner/Facethouse), Paravi (RCA), Deb Never (Moon Landing), Maris (Black House), Tempest (Arista/Sony), and Chandler Leighton; producers included were MNDR (Mark Ronson, Charlie XCX), Chong The Nomad (21 Savage, Shang-Chi), Ali Stone, V-RON (Alicia Keys, Ambre), and Dominique Sanders (Tech9, Dr. Dre); other artists included Sayak Das, Kiana V, Brooke Daye, Rose Tan, Galxara, Taylor Foley, Chloe Tang, Sad Alex, Floyd Fuji, Mori Einsidler, Gray Trainer, Dan Richards and Louis Castle.

The New Normal writing camp was proudly sponsored by BMI, Topo Chico, Shure, JHS Pedals, Izotope, Native Instruments, and Spitfire Audio, who all support the message and purpose behind what the camp.
