About

Steve Stout has built a career at the intersection of arena rock, indie experimentation, and modern folk storytelling. He is best known as the guitarist for multiplatinum band Lifehouse, where he has toured the world and contributed to one of the most enduring rock acts of the 2000s. Beyond the stadium stage, he co-founded ØZWALD with Lifehouse frontman Jason Wade, releasing seven albums on their own label Allswell Records.

As a solo artist, Stout has released Dairy Made and Sunday Stars, both self-produced albums that highlight his blend of lo-fi intimacy and expansive indie production, drawing comparisons to Kurt Vile, Fruit Bats, and Stephen Malkmus. His latest record reflects life as a former rocker turned folk songwriter, balancing family life in Nashville with the creative spark of Los Angeles.

Stout has also collaborated with Lost Beach, performed with Blondfire, and expanded into producing and mixing at his Nashville studio, Shabby Road. Whether onstage with Lifehouse, shaping ØZWALD’s evolving sound, or building his own catalog, he continues to define himself as a versatile and forward-looking artist.
