Ames

About
Queer, LA based singer songwriter Ames was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she began performing at a very early age, competing in classical piano guilds around the state. She also began singing in church, taking part in various praise and worship groups while accompanying herself on guitar.
In 2004 Ames made the jump to Los Angeles to launch her solo career as a full-fledged singer-songwriter, performing shows around the country and opening for such artists as The Veronicas, Andy Grammar, and Gavin Rossdale.
Ames would later develop a love for co-writing with other artists and found success landing cuts with major recording artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Rita Ora, Tori Kelly, Christina Perri, and Chappell Roan. She’s also worked alongside Grammy-Award-winning producers FINNEAS, Dan Nigro, and Patrick Carney of the Black Keys, among others. Ames had cuts on Kelly Clarkson’s “Meaning of Life”, which was nominated for a Grammy in 2018.
