Rune Westberg is an LA-based Danish songwriter, producer, and mixer. Rune’s songs have been recorded by artists such as Colbie Caillat, VHS Collection, Rachel Platten, Prince Royce, Daughtry, Adam Lambert, Alvaro Soler, Axelle Red, Jordan Smith, Sofia Reyes, Tegan Marie, Michelle Traecy, Sabrina Carpenter, and Matt Simons among others. He was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2016 for his song “Ecos de Amor”, co-written with Jesse & Joy, and the song has passed 200 million streams on Spotify alone. Co-writes with Desi Valentine have been synched in numerous TV shows, including Suits, Queen Sugar, Valor, as well as an Adobe ad. His song with Addie Hamilton was featured in American Woman and Shameless. Another project with French indie band Part Time Friends scored a Citroen car ad spot (France).
In October 2018, Westberg signed a new publishing deal with Patrick Conseil’s Pure Pop Music in a joint venture with Angry Mob Music Group. Since then, Rune has had songs released by Too Close to Touch, Cary Brothers, Caroline Kole, Beth Hart, Desi Valentine, Jessica Childress, Ruby Velle, BAYWUD, HAVEN, and Marina Kaye. Additionally, he released three singles to date under the project name rüün. Rune's songs have also been featured in episodes of Grey's anatomy, The Rookie, Riverdale, and an ABC network promo for Pride and Solidarity. His song "This Cross Of Mine" co-written with Jessica Childress was also featured on All American: Homecoming. Recent co-writers have included: Jon Bryant, Anna Clendenning, Dylan Dunlap, Valerie Broussard, Monowhales, Ewan J. Phillips, Gregory Dillon, and Joe Doe Rooney of Rascal Flatts. Additionally, he co-wrote and produced Beth Hart's latest album for Provogue Records.
